Privacy policy
Auzaie Education (“we”, “us”) provides an education-management platform to schools, colleges, coaching centres and training institutes (“institutions”). This policy explains what personal data the platform handles and how it is protected, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Who is responsible
Each institution decides what to record about its students, parents and staff and is the data fiduciary for that information. We are its data processor: we handle the data only on the institution’s instructions and only to provide the service. Requests about a specific student’s records should go to the institution first; we help it respond.
What the platform holds
- Accounts — names, usernames, roles, phone numbers, photos if added, and passwords stored only as salted hashes.
- Records the institution enters — classes, attendance, exams and marks, homework and course work, fees and receipts, timetables, transport, health and wellbeing notes, UDISE+ details (which can include Aadhaar numbers), and similar.
- Enquiries — details sent through our demo form or an institution’s admission form.
- Feature requests and reports you send to Auzaie from inside the app.
- Technical data — basic logs needed to keep the service secure and working, and an activity log of changes inside each institution.
How it is used
Only to run the platform: showing each person the records they are allowed to see, notifications, reports, live classes and — if the institution keeps it switched on — AI features. We do not sell personal data, show advertising, or build profiles of children.
Who can see what
Access is decided by role: students see their own records, parents their own child’s, teachers what they teach, and the institution’s office what its administrator allows. Our servers only send each person’s browser the data their role is allowed to see. Auzaie staff cannot see an institution’s records unless its administrator grants support access — see Data protection & who can see your data.
Where it is stored
The database is hosted by Supabase in Seoul, South Korea; the application runs on Vercel. Transfers outside India are permitted under Section 16 of the DPDP Act unless the Government restricts a country. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting providers.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask for a summary of your data, correction or completion, erasure (subject to legal retention), grievance redressal, and nominate someone to act for you. Contact your institution, or us at support@auzaie.com.
Retention
Data is kept while the institution subscribes. After a subscription ends the institution can export its data; we delete it on the institution’s written request, or within 90 days of the end of the subscription, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Breaches
If a personal data breach happens we inform the affected institutions and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires, and help institutions inform the people affected.
Changes
We will tell institution administrators in the app before material changes take effect.
